What does it mean to be carbon neutral? Where do you buy your carbon offsets?
We’ve partnered with CarbonFund to make our supply chain completely carbon neutral. This means that for every pound of carbon emitted in the process of creating and shipping your bottle, we invest in removing at least that much carbon from the atmosphere. What is MODL made of? Is it safe?
MODL’s body is made of FDA/LFGB approved food-grade silicone and stainless steel. The mouthpieces and caps are made from polypropylene. These materials are all non-toxic and BPA free.

How do I clean MODL? Is it dishwasher safe?
MODL is dishwasher safe, and can also be cleaned using boiling water or hand-washed with hot water and soap. MODL is made from silicone, which naturally inhibits microbiological growth and does not have open pores which harbor bacteria.

Does MODL keep liquids hot or cold for a long time?
MODL is not designed to keep liquids hot or cold for a long time, but it does slow the change in temperature.

Can I put boiling water in MODL?
Yes, MODL is boiling-water safe, although you have to be extremely careful handling the bottle once filled with boiling water. While the bottle will not be damaged by boiling water, the outside of MODL will get extremely hot and can burn you.

Can I put MODL in the freezer?
Sure thing. MODL is made from silicone which is able to withstand extreme temperatures. That said, water expands when frozen, so be sure not to fill your MODL all the way before tossing it in the freezer.

What is a MOD?
A MOD is a cap or attachment that unlocks a unique function of MODL. MODs are a key part of what distinguishes MODL from typical bottles, and MODL’s functionality will continue to expand over time as we release new MODs!

Is the Rinse MOD meant for full-on showers?
Absolutely! While the Rinse MOD is great for rinsing off hands, boots and four-legged friends, it’s also designed to be used as a shower. Simply loop MODL around a branch or hang it from a tree and get ready to get clean.
If you loosen the top cap to let air flow in through the top, then water will flow continuously out of the Rinse MOD like a typical shower. If you keep the top cap closed, then water won’t flow out unless you squeeze the bottle, even when it’s hanging upside down. This method will last much longer and will provide you with plenty of time for a full shower.

How long does the Pure MOD last? Can I buy a replacement filter?
The filter in the Pure MOD is guaranteed by our manufacturer for 2 years and has a filtration capacity of 3000 liters (792 gallons), so drink up! While one filter should last you a long time, replacement filters will also be available on our website for $25.

Are the MODs compatible with each other?
Yes! Specifically, the Go, Flow, and Pure MODs can all work off the same base cap, called the Multi MOD, which is included with every MODL Complete. You can easily attach the Go or Flow to the outside of the Multi, and you have the option to add filtration to the Go or the Flow by adding the Pure to the inside of the Multi.

Every reward comes with a MOD pouch, which is a sturdy mesh bag that makes it easy to keep your MODs together and take them on-the-go.

How do I pledge for more than one tier on the campaign?
The Kickstarter platform does not allow for multiple pledges on one campaign under one account. However, we will be asking at the end of the campaign if you would like any add-on items - this is how you can add another MODL or any other gear offered to your order!

Shipping is $10-$15 for pledges within the continental United States, depending on which reward you select. There are different shipping charge for international customers.

Yes. International shipping is available, and the price will be displayed once you click on a particular reward and select your country. This price does not include duties & customs, which may be incurred upon delivery.

If I back a tier which includes multiple bottles, can I ship them different places?
No, one reward may only be shipped to one mailing address. Rewards cannot be split up and shipped to multiple addresses.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
